  • About Artisan Furniture UK | Dropship Wholesalers Since 1995

Artisan Furniture UK, a British Dropship furniture, Wholesale furniture and Home Decor company headquartered in 2A Monck St, London SW1P 2BQ and has its own production plant in Jaipur, India. The Indian headquarters includes a small office of only 100+ people and 100+ artisan workers that work on products to be shipped out. The company also has offices in the New Jersey, USA and Ipswich that are primarily focused on marketing, sales and legal development.

Artisan’s products are widely varied, but it is only brought to fruition through many contributions from the company in Rajasthan where they have a brick-and-mortar presence and employ workers, in India. Here they take on an internet-focused strategy focused on artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other algorithms. However, their base remains that of artisan work.

Rajasthan has never been an easy place to make a living, with its soaring temperatures and sparse population. But they’ve had one thing for generations — the arts. Handmade arts to be precise, and this is where Artisan come in. The aim is twofold, to revive dying communities through the ancient arts in the state and to provide quality furniture to small business across the world. The three Cs as they call it — compassion, community and cognisance. Compassion towards the specific needs of artisans and independent retailers, the community that Artisan fosters in their part of the world, and cognisance of how to best provide small stores the tools they need to become successful while also supporting artisans in crafts they have practiced for centuries.

The answer is their dropship furniture programme. A no storage model that lets retailers ship products directly to their client’s doorstep while also giving artisan the freedom to craft products using techniques they know best. Any Artisan product you buy goes a long way in rebuilding communities across the world, and looks delightful at the same time.

1995 Artisan Furniture was born in the shade of a traditional Jaipur tin-shed, in the sands of the desert state of Rajasthan, India.
1996 The first Artisan Unit was up and running in the colder months of the year, all ready to ship its first ever order to New Zealand
2000 A unique Anglo-Indian fusion was born, traditional webbed Jali paired with the very British wood that is pine. It lead to the company’s first big break and the creation of a long running community of British customers.
2008 Artisan Furniture was truly established as a prominent wholesale supplier in the UK in the background of the financial crisis. The global clientele ballooned to 15 countries.
2012 The newest iteration of the brand was established in Stanmore, north London in response to a fast growing clientele in the UK and the company’s path towards being a British focussed furniture supplier
2014 The main Artisan Unit in Jaipur, modelled after London’s King Cross, was completed in Jaipur — creating a community of artisans that were to be the beating heart of the company for a long time to come.
2016 The boldest decision yet, Artisan Furniture went 100% digital and launched their dropship operations. It was one of the first in the UK to do so and put it on the trajectory to being one of the country’s biggest dropship suppliers.
2018 Westminster, in the heart of the city of London, was to be the place where Artisan Furniture set up their new London office, fully establishing itself as a quintessentially British enterprise.
2022 A move to the US market had long been on the cards, and it finally occurred in the summer of 2022. With a fulfilment unit and an office in New Jersey, the company was fully prepared to make the jump across the pond and hopefully establish itself in the world’s biggest furniture market.
