Wasted delivery & Collection charges

In order to enhance the operational efficiency and cut down on the non-productive and administrative hassles of a wasted delivery, please note with effect from February 2021, we have levied the below charges for the wasted delivery which will cover the following scenarios.

Artisan Furniture will continue to offer free delivery within the UK Mainland, irrespective of the order value or size.

The first delivery attempt is absolutely free, however any subsequent delivery attempts or any changes made to the order such as re-delivery, change of address or contact details will have a charge.

This charge is counter levied onto the trade account as courier companies will invoice us for any changes.

The courier will automatically put this product on hold at the depot for the following 3 days until the charges have been paid, and thereafter if the charges are not paid in time, the product will be returned back to our storage unit leading to additional charges.

The charges and service levels are as below and VAT will be added on top of the below charges.

  • Unsuccessful deliveries due to wrong postcode
  • Unsuccessful deliveries due to unavailability (despite being pre notified)

and they must be paid PRIOR to re-scheduling the delivery.

PLEASE ENSURE YOU INCLUDE THE ORDER NUMBER FOR WHICH THE WASTED DELIVERY CHARGE IS BEING PAID AGAINST.

 

Change of delivery address once the order is processed – £30.00

If you have got in touch with us regarding changing a delivery address once the order has been processed or is at the local depot and has to be transferred to another depot it will require a change of delivery address fee. In the unlikely event that you cancel the order, a refund will be initiated less the change of delivery address charges.

While we endeavor to accommodate such requests, please be aware that our order processing system often operates automatically, particularly for items that are in stock. This automation may significantly limit our ability to modify the delivery address after the order has been processed. Should the system process your order before the address change can be implemented, the product will be dispatched to the originally specified address. In such instances, we will attempt to retrieve the product from the original address. However, if the recipient at the original address either refuses to return the product or does not accept responsibility and / or refuses to cooperate with the collection process; we will have no alternative but to consider the order as successfully delivered. In recognition of the inconvenience caused, we will refund any charges incurred due to the address change. Please understand that our influence over the actions of the end recipient is limited or non-existent.

 

Change of delivery date once the order is processed – £20.00

If you have got in touch with us regarding changing a delivery date once the order has been processed or when it’s at the local depot it will require a change of delivery date fee. In the unlikely event that you cancel the order, a refund will be initiated less the change of delivery date fee.

 

Return to supplier – £45.00

If your order has gone out for delivery and your customer doesn’t accept/rejects the delivery, or if the item has been at the depot for longer than 5 days with no communication then it will charge a return to supplier fee. In the unlikely event that you cancel the order, a refund will be initiated less the return to supplier fee.

 

Wasted delivery – £22.00

If your customer is not in, if the delivery has been attempted twice without successful delivery, or if there is a cancellation of a live order (other than a backorder) after it has been processed/labelled then we will have to charge a wasted delivery fee. In the unlikely event that you cancel the order, a refund will be initiated less the wasted delivery fee.

 

Change of Mind – Fulfillment Orders Only – £45.00

As a business to business entity, we are not legally required to offer change of mind returns since consumer laws do not apply to B2B transactions. However, as a privilege for our Fulfillment Program subscribers, we will handle any change of mind returns you accept from your customers. Upon payment of the change of mind fee for fulfillment orders, we will deposit the returned product back into your fulfillment inventory.

 

Unauthorized Returns – Fulfillment orders only – £45.00

All returns are processed strictly according to our return policy guidelines, which can be accessed via the returns policy link at the bottom of our website. As a benefit for our fulfillment program subscribers, we will manage any unauthorized returns from your customers. Once the unauthorized returns fee is paid for fulfillment orders, we will deposit the returned product into your fulfillment inventory.

 

Wasted delivery charges for Pallet shipments – £150

If your customer is not in, even after pre-agreeing a delivery slot with the delivery provider, or if there is a cancellation of a live order (other than a backorder) after it has been processed/labelled then we will have to charge a wasted delivery fee. In the unlikely event that you cancel the order, a refund will be initiated less the wasted delivery fee.

 

Wasted delivery for International orders – *on actuals

If the customer is not available, and a delivery attempt has already been made unsuccessfully or the customer refuses to accept the delivery, or if a live order (excluding backorders) is canceled after being processed/labeled, an International wasted delivery fee will be charged. If you cancel the order, a refund will be issued minus the wasted delivery fee, or a recovery notice will be sent for any shortfall if the wasted delivery fee exceeds the shipment value. Please note that the wasted delivery fee, including duties and taxes, is collected based on actual costs and varies depending on the product type and the destination country.

 

Wasted collection – £22.00

If your customer is unavailable to facilitate collection or refuses to handover the product, we will have to charge you a wasted collection fee.

Wasted collection for Pallet shipments – £150

If your customer is not available to facilitate the collection or declines to hand over the product, we will have to charge you a wasted collection fee
